Alexis Favela M.Ed., BCBA LBA
Alexis brings five years of experience working with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in both clinical and research settings, where she has delivered Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Special Education at Texas Tech University, with a focus on advancing the training of behavior therapists in modern ABA practices.
Her expertise includes supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in delivering direct interventions to children with ASD, providing parent-implemented ABA interventions via telehealth, and training special educators in ABA techniques within public school systems. Additionally, Alexis has supported post-secondary programs for adults with ASD, emphasizing vocational training and independent living skills.
Committed to advancing the field, Alexis actively conducts and publishes research in ABA. She is particularly passionate about increasing access to high-quality ABA services for families across Texas, with a focus on reaching underserved communities.
